She deserves a real man
I really like the cacophony version better. It feels so much more like a united front. This song would have really been helpful 9 years ago when I finally made my own escape after a quarter century of being his fucking appendage. I am so grateful that talented insightful artists like Miss Paloma are out there inspiring our young women, my daughters. Society gaslit me into believing that I was supposed to be this and robbed me of 25 years of my life. I salute all women who are waking up to the BS that the patriarchy has used on us since the beginning of human existence. This song makes me proud to be a woman again.
Ur voice is so beautiful, keep doing awesome covers please :D
I personally interpret the lit and unlit candle as their love. She lit her candle, signifying her love slowly burning away as she becomes more tired of the mistreatment before her commitment is completely gone. After this, she leaves the relationship. The man’s candle isn’t even lit at all, implying the fact he might’ve not even loved her truly in the first place.
this is literally therapy
Her voice is so beautiful and haunting.
Do things you like for you and if others appreciate it, cool. You made your own joy :)
this is the kind of stuff that makes me miss being in a women's ensemble
This sounds really good
Feeling this to my core!
Liked this video before I even watched it. LOVE the song and this version.
There’s something about your songwriting and your delivery that never fails to move me. It’s like you put words and music to feelings I’ve never been able to understand before. Thank you ❤
I kid you not, the first time I saw a naked boy... we were 5. He pulled it out to pee on his pet bunny that I'd asked to see. He was the pastor's son, because of course he was.
Whoah
i was scared of the bugs not killing them .-.
Incredible writing, hope you keep going!
I think this is a big part of why 70% of divorce is initiated by the wife. It's ridiculous how much people expect wives/moms to do.
Whomp whomp
It's beautiful! 🙌🏻❤️
Literally just “men suck, I hate men, boo men” my god y’all are insufferably annoying…
Omg this sucks😂😂 yeah suburban blond white girls in America suffer so much and are such victims 😢
Dunno man. I didn’t discover any power when I was killing bugs at recess, I was just bored.
Im sorry ...but I dont agree....i choush this Life ... If u dont want to do it ... Dont..m
You have a way with words that is just... so beautiful and painful at the same time, is magnificent. Thank you for your art and for sharing your mind, heart and soul with the world, with us
This makes me think of the time when I was eleven years old and a group of boys put a love letter in my locker telling me to meet him on the playground during recess and I was met with a group of boys who stood and laughed at me instead. For a long time “I love you” felt like a lie to me when I heard it from any man other than my father. Because those boys had to feel like they had power.
Y’all really still be holding resentment over elementary school bullying 😂😂 get the fuck over it already, everyone has experienced bullying before. Your experience isn’t unique and special…
Thank you all.
Beautiful, powerful, amazing. Lyrics and voice
I always weld so much more pumped up when I listen to this, I became a welder to really do something that would help others and create. It’s always so fun to see people’s reactions to my career because I’m very feminine outside of work
Masterpiece. True artist.
I was the daughter. My mother didn't free herself for me or herself. I freed myself from that cycle and was lucky to not repeat it (I have a wonderful partner that is willing to listen and learn, thankfully). We don't have to stay there. We don't have to live the lives of our mothers and grandmothers.
you are single handedly verbalising about 80% of femisism
Screaming to my mothers and grandmothers, to my sisters and brothers all around the world. We aren't born to be silent, we aren't born to be accomodating. For centuries we have been abused, tortured, forced to submission, to bear children from pressure, called crazy for calling it out, repressed, gazlit, we lost our ways, our voices, our agenda... Today no more ! No more silence ! No more shame ! No more compliance ! For my chained sisters, my crippled brothers, for all the survivors, the powerless and the warriors, the queens, the mothers and daughters, we stop the abuse !
I know it's only previews, but i like this performance better than the produced clip... the live performance with just vox and acoustic is a more powerful delivery... its just beautiful, very moving.
This is so gooood😭
Powerful ❤
This song speaks to me in a way thatch can’t explain. Very excited to hear a full version soon❤
This is an excellent song.
damn taking my spot as an early fan
random but ur pfp is so pretty!
Incredible! Excited to hear the whole thing
Beautiful
Cant wait for it, love you💖
"I was building him a empire, while he was digging me a pit. And I fell right into it" 18yrs, I gave him. I thought it was love, but it wasn't love if he made me do it. The h3ll ive gone through and had to endure, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! He broke me down so much that I no longer recognize the woman staring back at me. He is the one who everyone believes is a saint. He is this perfect man and dad. Little do they know, he's far from it. I wished I could go back in time and erase him all together from my story. But no more. You see, while he has the keys to this prison..... ive been doing some work. I have learned that I am strong, brave, fierce, beautiful, worthy, a warrior, and I do not have to accept anything that goes against who I am. I have learned, too love me. I have learned, how to be okay with being alone. Just me, myself, and I. I have also learned that there is so many women, all across the world, who are going through the same thing or worse.....And they need to know that they are so strong, brave, fierce, a warrior, amazing, and they do not have to accept anything that goes against who they are! It is time that I stop being afraid, and raise my voice so loud that it shakes these prison walls, until the foundation breaks open and I escape!! I have to get out of here, so that I can go out into the world and help other women find their voice to escape!! Thank you for creating such powerful and foundation shaking music!! It has gotten me through some of the most darkest moment's, where I didnt think I could take another step. You are an amazing woman and so talented ❤❤❤ I wish you nothing but happiness and success!! 😘
Priceless !
You're incredible. So talented. I am glad to exist at the same time as you. Thank you.
Deeper meaning aside, bro was probably hyped that his role was just eating some good ass food
The sound of the revolution is DEAFENING.
I feel you sister. I've been there. NEVER has an artist accurately described what this is like! I didn't think it could be done. The trumpets and the screams! I just saw this now, I have the same damage and knew and felt every note and word! THANK YOU!❤
So powerful
Exu: "Inácia, pare! Eu não vou dar spoiler! Vai ter esperar até o final da novela como todo mundo." 😂😂😂😂
